Four masked men burst into a house with a young woman and child inside before making off with jewellery. Police received reports of the burglary at an address on West Lane, High Legh on Tuesday night (January 31).
Sometime between 7.30pm and 8.30pm, it was reported that four men wearing masks forced entry into the home before searching it and fleeing the scene with jewellery.
At the time, a 25-year-old woman and a three-year-old child were inside, and have been left 'shaken' following the ordeal, police said.

Cheshire Police are now appealing for information as they continue to investigate the incident, and are asking any potential witnesses or those with dashcam footage to come forwards immediately.

PC Natalie Palin of Cheshire Constabulary said: “Thankfully neither were harmed but they were left shaken by the ordeal. We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time who may have dash cam footage that may help, or anyone who witnessed suspicious activity in the area between 7.30pm and 8.30pm.”
