A delivery driver was threatened by masked men armed with hammers during a robbery in Norris Green.
Three masked men with hammer confronted a delivery driver at the Bargain Booze shop on Broadway in Norris Green at around 6.30am this morning.
The offenders made off with a quantity of tobacco and left the scene in a white van. The delivery driver was left shaken but thankfully uninjured. CCTV, forensic and witness enquiries are ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact police.
Detective Inspector Cath Haggerty said to the ECHO : "I would appeal to anyone who may have witnessed this incident or has dashcam or CCTV footage to please get in touch. It is believed the offenders turned left at the roundabout as they left the scene and anything you may have seen could greatly assist the investigation.
“To have an incident such as this happen when you are carrying out your job is truly shocking and thankfully the victim was not injured.
