A gang of six masked men on mopeds tried to drag a man and woman out of their car in a terrifying robbery in Harpurhey.
Police were called to Park View at around 10pm on Saturday after receiving a report that the gang had approached the 19-year-olds in their silver Skoda Fabia.
They attempted to drag the victims from the car before causing damage to the vehicle with various weapons and then assaulting the driver.
The offenders managed to steal the driver's house keys and tried to steal his mobile phone and car keys, but the victims were able to flee the scene in their car.
