Masked Dancer's Pig revealed to be Gavin and Stacey star as Davina McCall left gobsmacked

Davina McCall's jaw nearly hit the floor as Gavin and Stacey star Joanna Page was revealed to be Pig at the end of Saturday night's show.

After the show started with an announcement reminding viewers that the new series was recorded before the death of Queen Elizabeth II, Davina was once again on detective duty alongside her fellow celebrity panellists Jonathan Ross, Oti Mabuse and Peter Crouch, to try and work just who was behind the mask.

Pig aimed to make it through to another week with a routine to Katrina and the Waves classic Walking on Sunshine, which, whilst leaving the panel delighted, wasn't enough to keep her out of danger. And, after the judges voted again it was Pig that was the second character to be given the boot, after Desperate Housewives actor Jesse Metcalfe became the first to get the chop last week as Astronaut.

Final guesses from the panel on who pig might be included Jonathan's prediction Sandi Toksvig, Anita Rani, who Oti went for, Davina's guess Jessica Ennis-Hill and Frankie Dettori, who newcomer to the show Peter thought it might be.

All of them proved to be way off the mark though as, after shouts of 'take it off, take it off' sounded out around the studio, the star in disguise proved to be Joanna, the actress who starred on the big screen opposite Martin Freeman in Love Actually, before going onto delight millions of fans as Stacey in Gavin and Stacey.

Going through some of the clues in her VT, Joanna said 47 was the number of Stacey's house in the BBC comedy, while mention of embarrassing herself in front of someone famous was in reference to her meeting Emma Thompson for the first time at the Love Actually read through and having an awkward moment in the toilet.

After taking off her mask and explaining the clues, Joanna told host Joel Dommett: "II had a fantastic time. It's been absolutely amazing."

She added: "The children don't know or anything. I'm very excited as this is their favourite programme."
