Holly Willoughby was reprimanded by confused Masked Dancer viewers after a Michelle Keegan blunder.
Holly joined panellists Davina McCall, Mo Gilligan, Jonathan Ross and Oti Mabuse as a guest judge for Saturday's grand final and , while she earned plenty of praise for her outfit choice - a bright yellow dress - she quickly came in for criticism after making an embarrassing error about a show former Coronation Street actress Michelle has starred in.
Holly put Michelle forward as a guess for Scarecrow after she opened the show with a routine to Come Alive from The Greatest Showman.
Picking up on a clue she said: "There was a West End/East End thing, so I was thinking about somebody who's been in a soap.
"And I'm thinking of Michelle Keegan as she was in My Girl," which is of course not true as Michelle was in BBC drama Our Girl, while My Girl is the early 90s film starring Macauley Culkin.
Leaping in to correct Holly on her mistake, one viewer tweeted: "Lol Holly, Michelle Keegan was in OUR Girl not MY Girl" and, dqually sharp to react, another wrote: "It's #OurGirl not My Girl"
A third posted: "not holly willoughby calling our girl ‘my girl’"
While she was lambasted for her unfortunate gaffe, other viewers quickly called for Holly to be a permanent panellist, while others were shocked that she fail to recognise her cousin-in-law Tamzin Outhwaite who WAS Scarecrow.
One viewer tweeted: "Holly didn’t recognise her cousin-in-law as Scarecrow so can her best mate also sneak in undetected as a Squirrel??"
The 'best mate' reference was over speculation that Emma Bunton could be Squirrel, although Maisie Smith was the frontrunner with many viewers and bookies.
