Masked Dancer judges speechless as Beagle and Llama unmasked

The Masked Dancer competition is heating up with TWO further eliminations - and the identity of Beagle left the judges' panel and viewers gobsmacked.

Beagle was first to be voted off in the double elimination on Thursday night's show and jaws dropped as the hound head was removed to reveal Olympic skating legend Christopher Dean.

The judges looked suitably surprised - with none getting even close to guessing the identity of the Beagle since the show started - including guest judge David Walliams alongside Davina McCall.

Jonathan Ross summed up the mood when he said: "Well that was a surprise."

Beagle scored the fewest viewer votes, and it was then left to the judges to decide between Zip and Llama to go through to the semi-final.

They revealed that they wanted to save Zip - who many fans are now guessing could be Take That's Howard Donald or JLS heart-throb Marvin Humes.

It was then onto the unmasking of Llama to reveal Radio DJ Zoe Ball, who had earlier been guessed by Jonathan and David.

Zoe tweeted after the show: "BEST TIME EVER on #MaskedDancerUk in stitches in britches. Will miss my furry hoofed friend LLAMA."

After Thursday night's reveal on ITV, Dancing On Ice star Christopher admitted he found the Beagle costume rather tricky to dance in.

But he was pleased to have foxed the judges who were left speechless by his grand reveal.

He laughed: "The panel were great but they were way off the mark."

Celebrities already unmasked include American burlesque star Dita Von Teese as the Beetroot, Louise Redknapp as Flamingo and Jordan Banjo as Viper.

Rubber Chicken was revealed to be another Olympian - ski jumper Eddie the Eagle.

The Masked Dancer has been airing every night this week on ITV to replace the usual Britain's Got Talent week of live shows.

The semi-final takes place on ITV on Friday night at 7.30pm with the promise of another double elimination, ahead of the grand final on Saturday night.
