Masked Dancer fans 'unmask' Beetroot as former Hear'Say star after band clue

Masked Dancer viewers reckon that they've already managed to unmask Beetroot after spotting a Hear'Say clue .

Adorned in a flowing leafy skirt and fringing with a glittery purple bodice and tights, Beetroot's look was finished off with a large sprouting head with big green eyes.

Her poise and elegance wasn't just for show as she literally danced along vegetables while a fellow dancer dressed as a praying mantis.

Ahead of her performance, she teased: "I'm a farm town girl from way up north."

Referring to her "green roots" she said that she is "very happy with my plot"

"I'm a glass half full kind of girl that takes pleasure out of the smallest thing," she added.

In her clues it was also teased that she loves horses as she was seen standing next to an "equine range"

Davina commented: "You are very alluring, you are a minx."

She pointed out that she had a "distinct American accent in the clues" and suggested that it could be Shania Twain after her "doesn't impress me much" clue.

Meanwhile Oti Mabuse pointed out that she hadn't danced too much in her performance and suggested it could be Cheryl.

Yet fans reckon that it's Suzanne Shaw with the "northern" clue and that she was putting on an American accent.

One tweeted: "The Hearsay thing is making me think it’s Suzanne Shaw #MaskedDancer."

While another commented: "Beetroot Suzanne Shaw? #MaskedDancer."

A third wrote: "Or Kim Marsh or Suzanne Shaw #MaskedDancer."

Her final clue was: "If her majesty knew I had _ _ at home she would make a salad of me."

Who could Beetroot be?

Jonathan Ross, Davina McCall and Mo Gilligan returned this evening for the Masked Singer spin-off alongside new judge and Strictly star Oti Mabuse.

As it is incredibly difficult to guess the identities of each of the performers, there are even more clues than there would have been on the Masked Singer.

"Well, I thought that there was no way in hell that we would be able to get any clues from a dance," Davina explained. "But actually, people do have a certain physicality to them. We had a couple of nights where somebody was guessed from a movement or an energy that they had, so that was really interesting.

"But you do get to hear their voices when they do their clue packages. So we're really trying to listen out for accents - there are some American accents in there. Are they real? Are they faking it?

"From the accent, you can kind of tell whether it's a girl or a boy because we are down to the basics of 'Is it a boy or a girl?'"

She also revealed that Carwash and Zip used very specific types of music for clues as to who they were.

Meanwhile, newcomer Oti admitted that landing the gig on the Masked Dancer was "the best call of her life".

She said: "Oh my goodness, I broke out in song and dance, obviously because that is so me, I think something from Wicked.

“I was in my house. I had a scarf, I was flying it around. It was, I think, the best call of my life. I really was so grateful to be here and on the panel.”
