Mask-free Piers Morgan keeps Simon Cowell company after Lauren Silverman 'street row'

Piers Morgan went without a mask as he caught up with his old pal Simon Cowell for a lockdown stroll.

The two men, who previously worked together on Britain's Got Talent, were seen exchanging words as they enjoyed some exercise in London yesterday.

Simon appeared to be listening intently to the Good Morning Britain host as he puffed on a cigarette, after pulling his mask down to his chin.

The talent show mogul, 61, showed off his trim figure in a pair of slim fit jeans and a back puffer jacket.

While Piers, 55, wrapped up in navy trousers and a matching number under a black wool coat.

The sighting comes after Simon was spotted appearing to row with his long-term Lauren Silverman in the middle of the street.

An onlooker claimed to see a tense moment between the two, before Lauren walked off raising a hand in the air.

Simon was then seeing crossing to other side of the road while taking a call on his phone.

An insider told the Mirror that the couple weren't having a tiff and are 'happier than ever.'

"They have been together throughout lockdown and, with Eric, were just walking in the park – like so many families at the current time," they added.

A spokesperson for Simon said: “There was no row or argument whatsoever.”

The dad-of-one looked to be in good spirits as he took a lockdown walk with old pal Piers.

The outspoken pair have been close since Simon invited Piers to join the judging panel of Britain's Got Talent and the American version.

PIERS MORGAN BOASTS ABOUT HIM BOOSTING BGT RATINGS AS HE FUELS RETURN RUMOURS

Piers left after the 2010 series and was replaced by Michael McIntyre in 2011 before Alesha Dixon and David Walliams signed up to complete the now long-running line-up.

GMB's Piers opened up about the possibility of making a return to the ITV reality series during a chat with Amanda Holden last year.

He said: "Well look it's pretty obvious that the golden hour of Britain's Got Talent was when I was a judge with you and Simon, when we got 20 million viewers for one final, obviously it's not quite as strong as this year..."

Amanda piped up to say there was no Netflix or other streaming services on offer when they were last on the show together.

"There's something driven by the media that it needs a bit of spice back in the pot, of course it doesn't get spicier than me.

"Let's see what happens, I've had conversations…" teased Piers.
