Masam Removes 1,186 Mines in Yemen during 4th Week of July

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) project for clearing mines (Masam) in Yemen removed 1,186 mines during the fourth week of July, including 21 antipersonnel mines, 373 anti-tanks, 788 unexploded ordnance and four explosive devices, the Saudi Press Agency reported Sunday.

Since the beginning of the project, as many as 176,310 mines have been removed, SPA said.

The mines have been planted by the Houthi militias, causing deaths, serious injuries or amputations among children, women and the elderly, the agency added.
