Maryland commit has second thoughts, opens up commitment after onslaught by Ohio State

Ohio State Football is on top of Maryland 42-0 at the half, and the dominance is so bad one of Maryland’s three-star recruits de-committed mid-game.

Yes, you read that correctly.

The Maryland Terrapins already aren’t a powerhouse for recruits, and one of their three-star commits decided to open up his options at halftime of the team’s matchup with the top-ranked Buckeyes.

His name is Jordan White.

He is a 6-foot-3, 295-pound offensive guard and is ranked the 56th-best guard in the Class of 2020. It should be noted that White was not offered anything from Ohio State.

He expressed his interest to make the “best decision for myself” on Twitter at the half. White is a Maryland native.

The guard was offered a chance to play in Baton Rouge, so there is potential for him to head there. He likely wanted a chance to actually be on the field, and Maryland would’ve offered him that.

However, after seeing what Maryland is going through against the Big Ten’s best team, he decided that may not be the path he wants to venture down. Ohio State has that impact on recruits.
