Maryhill street cordoned off as police investigate firearm being discharged

Police are investigating after a firearm was reportedly discharged in Maryhill.

Officers were called to Windsor Street at 9.45pm on Thursday evening.

There were no injuries reported and investigations into the incident are still ongoing.

The street remained cordoned off this morning with several police cars on the scene.

"A report was received around 9.45pm on Thursday, May 21, of a firearm being discharged on Windsor Street in Glasgow.

"Nobody was injured and enquiries to establish the full circumstances are ongoing.

"Anyone with information about the incident or footage from private CCTV or a dashcam from around the time of the incident can call 101, quoting incident 3948 of 21 May. Alternatively call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
