Maryhill - Police launch urgent appeal to find vulnerable missing teenager

Police Scotland are appealing to trace a vulnerable 17 year-old male who is missing from Maryhill.

Alex Brantoning was last seen around 11.20am this morning heading to the city centre along the canal path.

He has autism and officers say he may become "anxious and agitated" when approached.

Alex is described as around 6ft 2 with sandy coloured hair, acne and was wearing navy blue trousers, a pale blue polo shirt and dark jacket.

Inspector Pauline Thomson, Maryhill Police Office, said: “Alex is a very vulnerable young man, who has a very young mental age.

“He has limited communication and may become anxious and agitated when approached.

“We are appealing for anyone who has seen him to get in touch with Police as soon as possible. We want to make sure he is okay.”

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 1272 of Wednesday 26 June 2019.
