Maryhill knife incident sees man arrested and taken to hospital with serious injury

A man has been arrested and taken to hospital after an incident involving a knife at a block of flats in the Maryhill area of Glasgow.

The incident occurred around 8am this morning when police rushed to the scene following reports of a disturbance at a flat on Wyndford Road.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested and taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with a serious injury to his hand as a result of the disturbance.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a disturbance involving a knife within a flat on Wyndford Road, Maryhill, around 8am on Tuesday, 16 June, 2020.

"A 35-year-old man has been arrested and taken to Glasgow Royal Infirmary with a serious injury to his hand as a result of the disturbance."
