Fans of Derek Acorah will be looking back on his colourful career following the news of his passing.
The television medium passed away at the age of 69 following a short illness and his death was announced in a statement by his wife Gwen.
One particular scene from his time on the paranormal reality television series Most Haunted during a three-night live series at the end of 2003 where the team attempted to track down the spirit of infamous highwayman Dick Turpin.
In a memorable sequence of the show, Acorah was seemingly "entered" while in mid-conversation with his co-presenter Yvette Fielding before exclaiming "Mary loves Dick" repeatedly.
He then went on to warn them, "Don't say those things about him."
After the experience, a shaken Derek says "just for a moment an energy came in" with "a great love for Dick".
He adds: "She protects him, she covers him up!"
Fielding can be seen clearly trying not to laugh and then famously exclaimed "F**k me!" after filming the scene and broke out into laughter.
Despite the laughter, however, it was confirmed by show historians that what Derek said was factually accurate as Dick's mother was Mary Parmenter.
The clip has now been shared by TV and radio presenter Jeremy Vine on Twitter following Acorah's passing.
