Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen fired from first acting job on Full House for brutal reason

John Stamos has admitted to not being a fan of crying babies, with the American actor even trying to get twins Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen booted off the set of Full House when they weren't even a year old.

The now-59-year-old actor starred in the late 1980s sitcom on ABC - Full House - with John portraying the role of Jesse.

In the sitcom his character lived with his brother-in-law, Danny, whose deceased wife was Jesse's older sister.

Danny's best friend, Joey, also lives in the house with them, and the three of them helped each other raise Danny's three young daughters.

In 1987, at the age of six months, the twins were cast in the role of Michelle Tanner in the sitcom, with them filming for the show at just nine months old.

The Olsens continued to portray Michelle throughout the show's run, which concluded in 1995.

But now it has been revealed on the Good Guys podcast that John tried to get the Olsen twins fired.

Josh Peck asked the actor about an "interesting” tidbit in a 2019 Collider post, with him pressing: "Did you try to get the Olsen twins fired?"

"I did it," John said candidly, before adding: "I didn’t try, I did it."

"We’re doing the scene. Joey and I were changing the baby, right? And Danny’s gone and said, ‘Take care of the kids.’ ‘Yeah, we got it. We got it.'

“So, we’re carrying the baby downstairs, and I think I was holding her on her armpits and Dave was holding her little feet and we take her in the kitchen and we hose her down."

"She was screaming. Both of them. They wanted to be anywhere else but there, and so did I.

"I couldn’t deal with it... I said, ‘This is not gonna work, guys’ and I screamed it 10 times. I said, ‘Get rid of them, I can’t work like this’."

This means that as a result of John urging the crew to "get rid" of the Olsen twins, they were temporarily replaced by "two redheaded kids".

John described the two replacements as "terrible", adding that the Olsen's were back in their jobs "a few days" later.

"It was a day or something; we tried the other kids, it didn’t work," he said, before gushing about the Olsen twins and saying that they "were so great" when they got older.
