Mary Byrne says X Factor wants her back for 10-year reunion tour

SINGER Mary Byrne told how The X Factor wants her back for the 10-year reunion tour.

The Dubliner recalled how comfort eating had spiralled into depression before the show changed her life.

Now with the chance to grace that massive stage again, six stone lighter, she’s raring to go. Mary, 60, told Dublin Live: “I can’t believe it’s 10 years, the show boss’ asked me if I wanted to go on it again as they’re working on an anniversary show with all the old contestants.

"I said I’d jump at the opportunity, Wagner wants to do it too, even if it was just to get to the final, not to win it, but even to get there.

“If I go back on stage I’ll be getting another two stone off me. When I was on The X Factor I had a lot of issues – weight, depression – but now I feel better in myself.

“I’m living the life I had when I was younger, I lost it a bit when I had my daughter Debra.

“I went into myself a bit, comfort eating and the whole lot, to go on The X Factor and get that confidence back was incredible.”
