Mary Berry styles an elegant polka dot dress from Holland Cooper to Royal Ascot – the second time this season she’s embraced this timeless print

Mary Berry arrived at the opening of Royal Ascot today wearing an elegant polka dot dress from one of the best British clothing brands, Holland Cooper. We've noted that this is the second time Mary's embraced the playful print during event season, signalling its timeless appeal.

Last month, we took inspiration from Mary's blush pink polka dot dress at the Royal Chelsea Flower Show, which features a similar long sleeve design and a button front. Today, however, Mary wore the Lucie Dress in a deep navy polka dot.

Featuring flattering gathered sleeves and a full pleated skirt that fans out into a mid-length, this dress is a luxurious choice for any upcoming events or special occasions in your calendar, or if you are simply wondering what to wear to Royal Ascot.

Not only does the Lucie Dress feature a playful print, but its floaty full skirt and long sleeves make it extremely flattering on a range of body types. It's designed to nip you in at the waist and skim past your hips and tummy, and the puffed shoulders will add definition to your shape.

With only a few sizes left, it's worth snapping up this standout style from Boden whilst it's still in stock. It features a face-framing high neck, a long floaty skirt and elegantly draped sleeves.

This midi dress features small polka dots and a flattering silhouette. This is the kind of style that will work for a variety of occasions from season to season. The long sleeves offer coverage, and the draped finish feels relaxed yet polished.

Elevate both your everyday attire and your occasionwear this season with this black straw hat. The wide brim is perfect for shading your face from the sun during the warmer season, and it has a packable design.

Elegant and affordable, this sweet droplet necklace can be worn with your everyday attire and with fancy occasionwear too. Wear solo, or layer up with this silver twisted necklace from M&S for a stacked look.

With a small kitten heel, these sweet pumps will become your most relied upon shoe during summer event season. The nude shade will pair with a range of colours and prints making them a versatile choice too.

For a classic, elevated finishing touch, Mary finished off the deep navy dress with a dark, wide-brim hat, which falls perfectly in line with the strict Royal Ascot dress codes. In terms of jewellery, she wears a delicate chain necklace with small pearls and nude pump heels.
