Former Cincinnati Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis made his broadcasting debut Sunday night, calling the Alliance of American Football’s game between Salt Lake and Arizona.
Lewis, who parted ways with the Bengals last month, was almost oddly quiet while coaching moves around the NFL occurred. The news broke he’d be calling AAF games essentially the week of his debut.
While the Bengals have moved in a new direction with Zac Taylor, Lewis clearly has, as well. He had some backers during his debut, though many were left searching for more after getting spoiled by Tony Romo lately. Lewis, at least, had some funny moments and showed potential if he wants to keep doing the gig.
