Marvin Jones Jr. decides he won’t follow his father’s footsteps to Tallahassee

American Heritage edge rusher Marvin Jones Jr. signed with Georgia on Wednesday at a signing ceremony at his school, which was broadcast on ESPN2.

Jones chose the Bulldogs over Alabama, FSU, Oklahoma and USC.

Jones is rated a five-star prospect in 247Sports’ composite ranking. He is listed as the No. 22 player in the 2022 class and the No. 2 edge rusher.

Jones is the son of former Florida State and NFL linebacker Marvin Jones.

Jones had a solid season for the Patriots, notching 46 tackles, six tackles for loss and five sacks this season.
