Marvel turns Adriana Lima, Karlie Kloss and Candice Swanepoel into superheroes for a fashion shoot

If you're a Marvel fan and enjoy fashion alike, then you are going to like these photos.

The comics books giant has gathered five of the biggest supermodels of the moment to turn them into five leading superheroes for the Spring/Summer 2016 issue of Garage magazine.

No, they can't fly, nor they have super powers, models Adriana Lima, Karlie Kloss, Candice Swanepoel, Lexi Boling, and Cuba Tornado Scott were styled as the main Marvel characters - yes, think of Hulk, Captain America and Spider Man, all who were brought to live by makeup artist Pat McGrath to produce the five individual covers of the special edition.

Shot by legendary photographer Patrick Demarcheli, Adriana appears as as She-Hulk, Karlie as Black Widow, Candice as Spider-Gwen, Lexi as Captain Marvel, and Cuba as Thor.

"Reinterpreting our Super Heroes through these fashion magazine covers perfectly demonstrates what we believe about our characters — The idea that anyone can express their own unique identity and individualism," says Sana Amanat, Director of Content Development and Editor at Marvel Comics.

While model Kloss says "it's important that young girls have fierce and strong role models to look up to and that’s what this project is really about".

"These role models come in many forms, from fictional Super Heroes to incredible businesswomen to strong female athletes."
