Rumors are swirling about Marvel Studios' plans for Kang the Conqueror in the wake of Jonathan Majors' departure and the title change of the upcoming Avengers film. According to insider reports, Kang will still play a significant role in future Avengers movies but will be paired with another villain, rather than being the sole antagonist.

Marvel's initial uncertainty about Kang's future arose after Jonathan Majors faced legal issues related to assault and harassment. Despite this setback, Marvel seems intent on including Kang in their cinematic universe, albeit alongside another major villain.

Previously, there were speculations that Marvel might distance themselves from Kang due to Majors' situation, especially when the title of the fifth Avengers film was altered from 'Avengers: The Kang Dynasty' to 'Avengers 5.' Fans had theorized that characters like Doctor Doom could replace Kang, but no official confirmation has been made.

If the latest rumors are accurate, a new actor will need to be cast as Kang, as Marvel has severed ties with Majors following his legal troubles. Reports suggest that actors like John David Washington and Colman Domingo are being considered for the role, although some may find it a sensitive casting decision given the circumstances of Majors' departure.

Jonathan Majors had been poised to become a prominent villain in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, showcasing his talent in 'Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania' and the Disney+ series 'Loki.' His personal issues emerged just as he was gaining recognition for his work, including earning Oscar buzz for his film 'Magazine Dreams.'

While Majors' exit has left a void in the role of Kang the Conqueror, Marvel appears determined to move forward with the character, albeit with a new actor and a potential partnership with another villain in the upcoming Avengers movies.
