Oct. 02--Who are the hapless members of the Marvel cleanup crew that have to pick up after every Avengers battle? Who puts a floating city back together after Ultron sends it rocketing into the sky? Turns out the studio is ready to answer that question, in the form of a comedy TV series.
Hero Complex can confirm that ABC has ordered a script for a half-hour, single-camera comedy. First reported by the Hollywood Reporter, the working title for this series is "Damage Control," which makes sense.
Here's the official synopsis: "'Marvel's Damage Control' follows the overworked, underpaid, clean up crew of the Marvel Universe. Specializing in dealing with the aftermath of the unique fallout from super hero conflicts, they're the ones who are in charge of returning lost ray guns to their rightful owners, help to reschedule a wedding venue after it has been vaporized in a super hero battle, or even track down a missing prize African parrot that's been turned to stone or goo. Sometimes the most important super heroes are the ones behind the scene."

It's interesting that the Marvel-verse would choose to underpay the folks tasked with cleaning up their superhero-sized messes. But fingers crossed we can get She-Hulk in here to sue the pants off "S.H.I.E.L.D." or whatever comic book division this crew reports to. Because constantly picking up after these supers has to be a thankless and exhausting endeavor. Thor destroyed an entire town in one of his movies. And that was just one, singular superhero.
According to THR, the concept is inspired by the 1989 comic of the same name.
"Marvel's Damage Control" was developed and will be executive produced by Ben Karlin ("The Colbert Report," "Modern Family"). It will also be executive produced by David Miner ("Parks and Recreation," "30 Rock") and Jeph Loeb (Marvel's head of television).
