Marvel’s Ant-Man has written a ‘very real’ memoir that you can actually buy

Marvel has released a memoir written by superhero Scott Lang – AKA Ant-Man – that you can actually buy. Ahead of the release of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania later this month, the studio has released a tie-in in the form of a “very real” book written by the Avenger.

The memoir will feature in the film, which will open with the character on a book tour and see Scott doing readings at several bookshops. In a clever piece of marketing, the book has been brought to life by publisher Hyperion Avenue.

“How’s that for meta,” Ant-Man star Paul Rudd says in a promo for the book.

Titled Look Out for the Little Guy, the memoir tells “the incredible story of an ex-con turned world-saving Super Hero.” Its official synopsis reads: “In Look Out for the Little Guy, Scott Lang shares with the world a bracingly honest account of his struggles and triumphs, from serving time to being a divorced dad to becoming Ant-Man and joining The Avengers.

“These are stories of epic battles won and lost, as this everyman turned Super Hero finally tells all – from the official account of what really happened between The Avengers and Thanos to how shrinking down to ant-size really feels to the challenges of balancing the roles of hero and dad. Across his many adventures big and small, Scott has gathered the wisdom of countless amazing experiences into this, the first memoir from a real-life Avenger.

“Once you learn the unforgettable details of his epic journey, you won’t need to be reminded... to look out for the little guy.”

The book is 256 pages long and is set to release on September 5. Preorders currently only appear available in the US, so Marvel fans in the UK may have to wait a little longer to get their orders in.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania will release in cinemas on February 17.
