The Marvel Rivals season three officially starts on July 11, 2025, which debuts with a new hero, Phoenix. As per the developer, every season now runs for exactly two months. Each month, players will have access to one new hero or villain for free, which will shake up the game’s meta and team compositions.

Once the update hits the live servers, the game should have a small downtime and players can follow the game’s social media handles to get the latest updates to know exactly when the update is ready to play.

Marvel Rivals season three adds a brand new map called Klyntar: Celestial Husk, which is focused on the villain Knull and his dark ally, Hela, who are slowly taking over the map with their darkness. New heroes like Phoenix will attempt to fight the darkness.

Apart from that, a few Team ups have been retired while new ones have been added to bring fresh gameplay strategies.

Phoenix is the first ranged duelist to join the game with the season three update. She harnesses the power of the force to obliterate her enemies.

The original X-Men member’s agile mobility allows her to become a dive hero in the game to break the enemy’s backbone and punish tightly grouped enemies to take points easily during domination matches. She has a chain reaction mechanic to deal damage to enemies. Her ultimate also allows her to use the force to clear enemy summons.

After the month is over, fan-favorite Blade will become a playable hero in Marvel Rivals in season 3.5, who is also rumored to be a duelist. Along with the hero, a brand-new competitive mode will be released next month.

The Ultimate VFX is only visible to the player using it to maintain gameplay clarity of other players.

Along with that, there are new accessories for a select few heroes, which allow players to customize their heroes further than just changing the cosmetics.
