As Season 7 reaches its halfway point, the developers at NetEase have revealed more about Black Cat, the newest hero to join Marvel Rivals. Otherwise known as Felicia Hardy, Black Cat is a Duelist with an agile skillset that reflects her criminal backstory. Key features of this new hero include a double jump, grappling hook, and stolen fortune from enemy players.
Season 7.5 of Marvel Rivals begins on April 17, 2026, bringing new characters and a new PvE mode called Blood Hunt.
Black Cat’s abilities: Wall climb, grapples, and claws
As revealed in a dev blog featuring Creative Director, Guangguang, Black Cat’s powers will have an overwhelming focus on her agility and her claws. Joining as a Duelist, the developers stated, “with her exquisite martial arts and incredible mobility, she can infiltrate any location and weave through the battlefield with ease.”
For basic abilities, Black Cat will have a grappling hook along with the power to climb walls and double jump, making her extremely nimble. When attacking, she’ll be able to steal ‘Fortune’ from enemies, enhancing her own attacks which come out in the form of claw strikes for fast, heavy damage.
Alternatively, Black Cat can use her Fortune from enemies to trade with the Gilded Saint, giving her access to treasures like the Ring of Zona, the Helm of Hades, and Namor’s Mento-Fish. This action will boost her own abilities as well as her whole team in “unexpected” ways.
New Team-Up with Cap and White Fox
The addition of Black Cat has created a brand new team up, called the Lucky Loan team. It includes White Fox, added recently in Season 7, and Captain America. Black Cat will serve as the anchor, which means she won’t gain any special powers. White Fox will gain an upgrade to her spectral fox tails, as they’ll auto seek enemies and allies alike, granting damage and boosts. For Captain America, Black Cat’s team up gives an enhanced shield with a larger defensive radius and better accuracy when reflecting attacks.

New Skins for Black Cat and more
Always the fashion icon, Black Cat will already rock a new look in Marvel Rivals with the Urban Predator skin. Modeled after an outfit in Black Cat (2019) #1, this skin features Felicia Hardy in a black, two-piece ensemble with the word “meow” emblazoned across her top.
Spider-Man and Blade are also receiving new skins for Season 7.5. Blade will appear in a sweet Western-themed outfit, complete with a white cowboy hat and fringed jacket, while Spider-Man appears as Peter Parker during his day job as a photographer – camera in hand and hair perfectly tousled.
