An actress who starred in the massive Marvel hit Captain America has been charged with second-degree murder .
Mollie Fitzgerald allegedly stabbed her mother to death following reports of an armed disturbance.
The 38-year-old was arrested on Tuesday after Patricia "Tee" Fitzgerald was found dead in her home in Olathe, Kansas, according to The Mirror .
She is currently in Johnson County Jail on a $500,000 bond and is due to appear in court.
According to reports from TMZ , police responded to a call of an armed disturbance, and Mollie was found at the scene and transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
Authorities do not have a motive behind the incident.
Fitzgerald played Stark girl in the 2011 Marvel film, and is also listed as a director and producer of some low-budget short films, including 2017's "The Creeps."
She called working on the Marvel motion picture as "one of the best experiences of my life."
The film, starring Chris Evans in the titular role, made over $370 million at the worldwide box office.
Gary Hunziker, the brother of Patricia Fitzgerald, said he didn't know many details surrounding her death.
"We were shocked," he told the Kansas City Star .
"It doesn't matter the circumstances - the loss of a sister is what it's all about."
Patricia will be buried on Friday at the Divine Mercy Parish in Gardner, Kansas.
She is survived by husband of 46 years, Terry Fitzgerald.
