Martyn Ford lands heavy body shots on Tom Zanetti ahead of boxing debut

Tom Zanetti has been taking some vicious body shots from strongman Martyn Ford ahead of his boxing debut next month.

Zanetti was set to face Jayden King in his boxing debut on the previous Misfits card in Sheffield, but his opponent withdrew from the bout after the vicious brawl at the press conference. The rapper has been keen to make his debut for the best part of a year, and he has finally got his shot against YouTube star Slim Albaher who has fought five times without defeat.

The musician has been working out with British strongman Ford, who has previously trained for his own cancelled boxing debut, with the pair sharing footage of their training on social media. And in a new video, Ford can be seen whipping thundering shots into the body of Zanetti who tried to tense and absorb the power of the blows.

Ford continues to pummel away at the torso of Zanetti with devastating power, while the rapper desperately winced through the pain before roaring in excitement at the end of the session. It will be a tough ask for Zanetti against Albaher, who has recorded a number of impressive wins over the likes of Ryan Taylor and FaZe Temperrr.

However, he is excited for the opportunity to finally arrive and tweeted: "Five Fights and five knockouts. My last three opponents s*** themselves and pulled out. This man won't pull out. He holds the belts for this YouTube game. For now, he has my respect but I will finally have my victory. Let's go to war."

He later added during a face-off with his upcoming rival Albaher: "Bro I am so excited. I am the action man and I am coming full power. I can punch very hard bro. My opponent, he is very slick and he can move, and to be honest I am going to give him all the respect he deserves. I'm happy to be on this card.

"Whatever this takes it is going very smoothly. If we have to start kicking off I am an animal, after the fight I will shake his hand. There is no bad blood, it is my first time under the lights and I am excited for this. I thought I would get nervous but it is getting me giddy, bring it on."

Ford was scheduled to make his own boxing debut against Iranian Hulk earlier this year, but the fight was shelved after the Briton expressed concerns for his opponent's mental health. Despite being heavily linked with a fight against Thor Bjornsson, it appears he will no longer be stepping in the ring after the Icelandic star elected to return to competing in strongman competitions.
