Marty Morrissey revealed he will be reigniting the ‘Marty Party’ this year as part of the Dancing With The Stars tour.
The RTE sports presenter became a national treasure during his stint on the hit show in 2018, earning his stage name the ‘Marty Party’.
And after a hectic schedule of sport this summer, the TV favourite, who was kicked out in week five of the competition, revealed he will be joining the tour as a dancer and presenter.
Speaking on The Ryan Tubridy Show today, the 60-year-old said: “I have a little bit of news. I am returning to the dancing at least for one weekend, to the Dancing With The Stars show in Killarney.
“There you go, there is a little exclusive.
“Ksenia text me last night, Ksenia is coming over as well and we will do a little bit of dancing and I’ll be joining the presentation team as well and we will have a bit of fun.”
The hit dance show will go on tour for the first time as some of the best loved celebrity couples from the series will compete for the Glitterball Trophy once more.
These include reigning champs Mairead Ronan and John Nolan, Jake Carter and his partner and now girlfriend Karen Byrne and Thalia Heffernan and her partner and boyfriend Ryan McShane.
2019 finalist Cliona Hagan will reunite with pro-dancer Robert Rowinski.
And off the back of a successful run in Coppers: The Musical, and a dramatic return to Fair City, Johnny Ward will also be returning with his partner Emily Barker.
There will be three shows in total over the two days where audience members and the judges scores will be combined to crown the king and queen of the dancefloor on November 1 and 2.
