Marty Morrissey needed help to match Sean Cavanagh and Mick Quirke's height for interview

Marty Morrissey has hilariously revealed he was forced to stand on a metal box to match Sean Cavanagh and Mick Quirke's height.

The RTE presenter was interviewing the former players for The Sunday Game at Croke Park yesterday.

He tweeted: "Look it’s very simple. A man has to do what a man has to do !!! 6’2 Sean Cavanagh and 6’7 Mick Quirke had to be interviewed for The Sunday Game down the sideline ...and I’m only 5’7 !!! Had to see into their eyes."

And plenty of people saw the funny side.

Marty's colleague Jacqui Hurley said: "Tom Cruise gets platforms built into his shoes, @MartyM_RTE has an assistant who carries around a box for such circumstances. Rockstar life!!"

Brenda Donohue added: "Marty next time I’ll give you my stilettos."

Another commented: "Thinking outside..and on top of ...the box."

A second-half goal from Stephen O'Brien helped Kerry overcome Tyrone at GAA headquarters on Sunday.

The Kingdom will now face Dublin in the All-Ireland final on September 1.
