Marty McKenna has made a shock return to Geordie Shore, with friends of Chloe Ferry predicting she'll be gobsmacked by the arrival of her ex.
Having first landing TV fame on Ex on the Beach, Newcastle lad Marty first joined the Tyneside based MTV show at the start of 2016, going into the house as a newcomer alongside Chantelle Connelly.
He stayed on the show for a number of series, including the Big Birthday Battle to mark Geordie Shore 's fifth birthday, before he left under a cloud after being suspended from filming, along with co-star Scotty T.

When asked why he wasn't filming with the cast overseas in September 2017, Marty tweeted: "So I won't be going back to @mtvgeordieshore as I've been sacked according to a few people," before adding: "Yeah mate funny how everyone else know before f****** me. (sic)"
At the time a Geordie Shore source claimed: "Marty is just as bad if not worse than Scotty. He parties hard and it can get too much at times.
"He didn't fly out to Italy with the cast as producers had already made their minds up and knew he wouldn't be continuing for the rest of the series."
But now it is being reported that Marty, now 26, is back for the new series of Geordie Shore, which is said to be in the format of a dating show.
Marty got close to Chloe during his original run on the show, before they came face to face again on a later series of Ex on the Beach, and an insider told The Sun she's bound to be stunned by his return.
They said: "Chloe had no idea Marty was going to be coming into the Geordie Shore house.
“She is newly single and this series has a dating twist, so she thinks she is going to just be coming face-to-face with new potential lovers – not old ones.
“Marty going in will have been like setting off a bomb in the house. It will be explosive."
After initially not joining cast mates like Nathan Henry, Abbie Holborn and James Tindale for the new series, Chloe has been spotted on set during filming.
Marty famously fought another one of Chloe's exes, Sam Gowland, in a celebrity MMA event in Newcastle, after tensions boiled over in a press conference for the event.
