Bravo to Martine McCutcheon, who delivers a masterclass in how to "do" bankruptcy. The former EastEnder filed for bankruptcy this week, with the taxman her largest creditor. Ah well. Martine spent part of the day of the hearing anticipating a makeover. "Ooh," she exclaimed in several tweets on the subject. "I've just met the girls doing my hair extensions on Wednesday! So excited for longer lush locks!"
When news of her bankruptcy broke, she was back on. "I can't begin to express my love and gratitude for such kind and encouraging messages," she declared. "I'm truly so touched. I love you guys."
Whether Martine will emerge to accept posies from wellwishers is as yet uncertain. But she has the most luxuriant hair in Queer Street, so let that be an end to it.
