Martin Scorsese's new Bob Dylan documentary to be released on Netflix 'in months'

Martin Scorsese’s next film is set to be released on Netflix in a few months.

While work on gangster film The Irishman continues, the director has completed work on a brand new Bob Dylan documentary based on the singer’s 1975-1976 Rolling Thunder Revue tour.

This isn’t the first documentary the filmmaker has made – in 2005, he won a Grammy Award for his epic Dylan documentary No Direction Home and has also made films about The Rolling Stones and George Harrison.

According to Far Out Magazine, the film will “capture the troubled spirit of America in 1975 and the joyous music that Dylan performed during the fall of that year. Part documentary, part concert film, part fever dream, Rolling Thunder is one of a kind experience, from master filmmaker Martin Scorsese.”

The film will feature on-camera interviews with Dylan himself and, according to rumours, won’t be told in a traditional documentary format.

It’s worth noting that Netflix is yet to confirm the date, but a source told Inquistir it’ll be released in a few months.
