Martin O'Neill has faith in Celtic's transfer market activity.
The returning manager has a long-standing relationship with majority shareholder Dermot Desmond, which gives him confidence in the club's dealings.
He revealed he did not ask for guarantees on signings when he became permanent manager last month.
O'Neill said, "I didn’t seek any assurances at all. I can't turn around and say, 'You need to get me 12 players, and if you only get 10, then you’ve broken the trust.'"
He believes his history with Desmond is a crucial factor in his approach.

O'Neill added: "I’ve known the owner of the football club for some time and I genuinely believe he will come up and help when trying to get things over the line."
Desmond was present at Celtic's recent friendly against Shelbourne in Dublin and later joined O'Neill, chief executive Michael Nicholson, and interim chairman Brian Wilson for talks.
Reflecting on their relationship, O'Neill said, "I had conversations with Dermot way back in those days. Less frequent now, certainly since January.
"But now, looking at players and trying to supplement the squad, I’d say those conversations are a wee bit more often."
