Celtic manager Martin O'Neill is pleased with the club's current recruitment efforts.
The 74-year-old is satisfied with the progress made to strengthen the squad. During Celtic's pre-season trip to Portugal, O'Neill revealed plans to appoint a new head of recruitment but stressed that this is not an immediate priority.
The manager has no concerns over the speed of new player signings. O'Neill said: "They're looking at that [head of recruitment] at this minute. I think obviously there's a process.
"I think that they want to do that, but it's not at the top of the list at this minute. I'm in constant talks with them every single day. They're behind the scenes.
"Genuinely, I'm really pleased with what they're doing."

He expressed satisfaction with the efforts of his existing backroom staff, saying: "I've got a couple of boys who are very, very good in the background anyway."
O'Neill highlighted the contribution of Mark Cooper, who has identified players for the club over the last 10 or 12 years.
He also confirmed that assistant Shaun Maloney has stepped back from recruitment duties after playing a prominent role earlier this year. O'Neill said: "The recruitment [team] sends the stuff over to us, and eventually it's our kind of say that makes the difference.
"He's [Maloney] not [involved] to the same extent. He was doing six or seven jobs at the time, so just concentrate on this, and that's fine."
