Martin O'Neill was pleased with Celtic's run-out against Shelbourne - and revealed they had already had a bounce game against Partick Thistle.
The men from Glasgow's east end played what was their first official pre-season friendly in Dublin this evening, drawing 1-1. Harry Wood scored what looked like a winner for the hosts from the spot with minutes to go, but Celtic won a penalty of their own and Shin Yamada tucked it away.
O'Neil was able to give minutes to a number of young players, including highly-rated Emmanuel Obidiwe, Kye Ure and Francis Turley.
He changed XIs at half-time as all the younger and more experienced players got 45 minutes.

The 74-year-old was satisfied with proceedings, as well as in that bounce game against Thistle.
He said: "The run out [vs Shelbourne] was important for us as much as anything else, obviously changed the side round at half time so it was good.
"We had a bit of a bounce game against Partick Thistle, which was good for us as well too. Up at our training ground a few days ago and here this is a good workout for us.
"It gives me a chance under more strenuous circumstances to look at some of the younger players and an opportunity for our lads, the senior boys, to try and get fit."
