Martin Odegaard reveals his Arsenal summer transfer stance amid Real Madrid exit talk

Martin Odegaard has admitted that he is happy at Arsenal with his loan deal at the Gunners set to expire next month.

Odegaard is owned by Real Madrid but the Norwegian has left the door open for a potential return to Arsenal, and Real Madrid may be forced to sell him given their financial issues.

The 22-year-old has put in some promising performances during his short stint in North London, most notably his eye-catching creative display that helped engineer a 3-3 comeback draw against West Ham in March.

Mikel Arteta values the Norway captain greatly and football.london understands that the tricky playmaker has been impressed with the Spanish coach and has been delighted with how quickly he was accepted into the Gunners' squad.

“I am happy here at Arsenal, we will see after the season what will happen," Odegaard told Sky Germany. "I’m owned by Real Madrid, so we have to speak to them. It’s important to understand what they want."

The creative midfielder struggled for game-time under Real's coach Zinedine Zidane. But with the Frenchman expected to leave his position this summer, Odegaard may wait to see who is taking charge at the Bernabeu next season before making a decision.

Since his arrival at the Emirates Stadium, Odegaard has registered 4.05 shot-creating actions per 90 minutes, the most of any Arsenal player this season.

Given his creative influence on the side and with plenty of room to develop, Arsenal could do a lot worse than sign the promising Odegaard on another loan move or even on a permanent basis.
