Martin O'Neill to recruit domestic talent spotter for Nottingham Forest - report

Nottingham Forest boss Martin O'Neill is looking to recruit former player Tommy Johnson to a talent spotting team at the City Ground, according to SunSport.

Johnson won the Scottish Premier League, Scottish Cup and Scottish League Cup as a player under O'Neill at Celtic and, since retiring, has coached at Notts County and scouted for Cardiff, Blackburn and Watford.

O'Neill is said to be keen to have the input of the ex-Derby County and Aston Villa man on signings this summer, as he targets domestic talent.

The Reds are still in with a shot at promotion via the play-offs this season, helped by Saturday's 2-1 win over Swansea City.

Forest are in ninth place in the Championship and just two points behind rivals Derby in sixth.
