Martin Lewis has shared an "important message" to his followers on social media regarding a benefit that many people are unaware they could qualify for.
Pension Credit gives claimants extra money to help cover living costs if they are over the State Pension age and on a low income.
The benefit can also help with housing costs such as ground rent or service charges.

However, according to the money expert, "up to 1 million" pensioners are missing out by not claiming Pension Credit even though they are eligible.
In what he described as a "national tragedy", many people on a low income are not receiving the help they are entitled to.
Taking to Twitter, Lewis wrote: "IMPORTANT MESSAGE. Are you (or is someone u know) age 66+ with total income under £200/wk. If so check if ur entitled to Pension Credit.
"It's a national tragedy up to 1m pensions are missing out amid a cost of living crisis. Avg payout is £3,300."
The financial guru also shared a link to a Pension Credit calculator, which can tell you if you’re eligible for Pension Credit and how much you could get.
In order to use the free online tool, you will need details of your earnings, benefits, pensions, savings, and investments, as well as the same for your partner if you have one.
Additionally, you cannot use the calculator if you or your partner are deferring your State Pension, own more than one property, are self employed, or have housing costs (such as service charges or Crown Tenant rent) which are neither mortgage repayments nor rent covered by Housing Benefit.
