Martin Lewis has warned of a huge price hike coming in today from council tax to energy bills.
Each year utility and public service prices rise, affecting millions of people in the UK.

However, Martin is asking people to switch, check or challenge their bills.
Martin said: "Big public service hikes coming on the first of April, don't let them make a fool out of you."
Energy bills-
Martin said: "The price cap is going up £96 a year on typical use. That's all of those of you who are on standard tariffs, with the big six.
"Over half the homes in the country.
"Please I've said it so many times, go on a whole of market comparison service, do a comparison, switch somewhere cheaper.
"The cheapest tariff on the market is nearly £240 a year, for the same gas, same electricity, same safety.
"It's only customer service and billing that changes, so go and have a look at that."
Prescriptions -
English prescription charges will rise up by 20p to £9.35 today.
However, Martin revealed his research shows how hundreds of thousands of people could save money.
All you have to do is apply for an NHS prescription 'season ticket', where you pay a one-off fee for all prescriptions.
Council tax -
Martin said: "Over 50% of the council in England are doing the maximum rise they can.
"And the rest of the UK is going up in many places too.
"That's £90 a year for a typical band D property on the first of April.
"Do the check and change challenge and then also check for discounts too.
"If you're a single person or living just with under 18s or full-time students, you're entitled to 25% off.
"If you know someone with a severe mental impairment or someone on a low income, check it out, they may be eligible for a discount too."
TV license -
The TV Licence fee will increase today, but it's worth checking to see whether they can claim Pension Credit.
The cost of an annual standard colour TV licence will rise to £159 from 1 April 2021 – an increase of £1.50 on the current price of £157.50 a year.
But if you claim pension credit you can get your licence for free.
