Mothercare shoppers have urged been to make use of any gift cards they may have - as they're set to expire from midnight tonight.
The manager of the Mothercare Sprucefield store spoke of the "heartache" following the news of the company's administration and encouraged customers and online shoppers to make use of any Mothercare gift cards or vouchers from third parties.
"We do not want our customers to lose out on money, so I really am just urging them to call in store to use their credit," he told Belfast Live.
"The store has brought myself and staff so much happiness over the years, and when we were told about the news we were completely shocked. We are all just completely heartbroken by this news, but the last thing we want right now is for our customers to miss out.
"We are open today until 9.30pm and from tomorrow morning any gift cards we are handed have to go straight in the bin. No matter how much we would like to help, our hands our tied at this stage.
"The sign above the door says Mothercare today, but in reality, it is owned by the administrators, and so we are officially employed by the administrators now."
He went on to speak about the uncertainties surrounding the store's future and paid special thanks to their customers.
He said: "The love we have received the past week has been so uplifting at such a terrible time for us. Our customers have been bringing us in chocolates and cards, which is such a lovely touch.
"We genuinely have no idea when the store will be closing, we are in the dark about that 'phase' that has been announced. We are just broken hearted."
