Those who are working from home are being encouraged to go online and claim up to £124 they are entitled to.
The advice comes from Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis who has explained that money is available to home workers even if they have worked from home for only one day since last April.
Many people have been unable to return to their offices due to the pandemic and could be missing out on Government cash.
The available money is a reduction in the amount of income tax a person pays, and is designed to help those who work from home with their overheads, reports the Echo.
Martin Lewis says you can claim £62 per year for basic rate taxpayers and £124 per year at the higher rate and he urged people not to delay but to put in a claim to immediately benefit from the tax relief.
And the money expert says anyone who has worked at home since last April, even for a day, can claim a year's worth of tax relief.
HMRC told Martin: "We recognise that the working-from-home situation is very fluid this year, so we're accepting claims for the full year's expenses.
"That includes even if people have only worked from home for some of the year, to avoid needing to contact us if you have to work from home again."
Originally a claim would have to be made multiple times a year in order to get 12 months of rebate but HMRC has now changed the system - due to so many people working from home - and people just need to claim once, with a few simple questions online.
