Martin Lewis sparks coronavirus concerns as he battles health issues on live show

Money expert Martin Lewis, who regularly appears on programmes including This Morning, has sparked fears he is suffering from COVID-19.

He tweeted to say he was feeling unwell ahead of The Martin Lewis Money Show Live at 8:30 on Thursday, joined by Angelica Bell.

One of his followers replied saying they were worried it was the coronavirus and Martin, 48, said he was too.

But he insisted he was fairly sure it wasn't, as his symptoms did not match those usually shown in COVID-19 symptoms.

"I'm alright," he told Angelica at the start of the show, "I'm a little bit under the weather, a bit nauseous, but I've got make up on to cover the green!"

He had tweeted: "The problem with having your own live TV show, is when you're feeling under the weather as I am right now (nauseous and weak) show must go on.

"Let's hope Dr. Showbiz helps. At least I'm doing it from home so I can go to bed straight afterwards."

His concerned follower replied: "It's not the virus i hope".

Quote tweeting this reply, Martin revealed: "I hope not too, but I have no fever, no cough and still have my sense of taste, so thankfully I think it's unlikely".

One fan responded: "Urgently test in case. This is the problem most people aren’t that seriously ill. More symptoms can come on later."

Another wrote: "Overworked, you haven't stopped. Plus you're exercising more.

"As a non qualified person, who doesn't know you, I think you're overdoing it. You can't save us all, no matter how hard you try. Look after yourself x".

A third added: "There are many other symptoms, cough, temperature and lack of taste and smell are just the main ones."

Presenting his live show, Martin seemed in good spirits and was not obviously suffering, with no coughing to be seen.
