Martin Lewis shares Coronavirus advice that could save you £1000s

With an increasing amount of countries now in lockdown, and flights being cancelled left, right and centre because of coronavirus, you'd be forgiven for being in a bit of a flap if you've got a trip or holiday coming up.

As well as being dealt the disappointment of having to stay in the UK's miserable weather because of the cancellations, there's also a matter of whether or not you'll lose your hard-earned cash.

Luckily, money expert Martin Lewis is on hand to help, and has issued some handy advice that could save you some cash.

Appearing on ITV's Good Morning Britain, Martin told viewers: "Everybody now, if you've got travel booked, find out what your cancellation rights are.

"Look when's the last time if you've got free cancellation when you can cancel, put it in your diary with a big red mark, so that you know whether you're going to be able

"If you can cancel for free, and it looks like you won't be able to travel, on the last day cancel for free.

"If you can't cancel for free and you will lose all your money, don't cancel, then leave it, and if you can't go, hope by that time that the Foreign Office has said you can't go, so your travel insurance will be impacted."
