Martin Lewis has shared his top tips for Black Friday - including a warning for those who may get carried away.
It comes as figures show Brits will blow an eye-watering £2million a minute over the next 24 hours as shopping fever sweeps the nation.
Speaking on whether shoppers should get involved in the sales event, Martin said: "make a list and stick to it."
He told viewers on Tuesday's ITV Money show they should watch out for tricks designed to "target your spending impulses".
"Is Black Friday worth it?" one viewer asked.
"Yes...and no," Martin replied.
"If you're looking to buy a video game that costs £50, and it's reduced to £25 on Black Friday, then yes, it's a good deal as you'll save £25.
"But, if you're tempted to buy it just because it's on offer, then no, you've fallen into a trap.
"The best way to do it is to make a list of what you want, stick to it, and find the cheapest places to buy it on Friday.
"Don't get them target your spending impulses."

For extra savings, here are his top tips:
Abandon your basket: Sign in online, add the items to your basket and then walk away. Many retailers will get back in touch to entice you back - often with a discount, voucher code or free delivery. Remember, Black Friday typically runs all weekend until Cyber Monday - so you have plenty of time.
Shop department stores: If you want a discount on a branded item but can't find any codes online, check out department stores. For example, La Redoute is currently offering 40% off online on a number of brands. Martin found a Levis's t-shirt - which is currently £25 on the Levis website - down to £17.50 via La Redoute.
Use cashback credit cards: American Express is currently offering 5% cashback (up to £125) for the first three months - and you can use it on all your Christmas shopping. But remember to pay it off in full.
Don't pay for delivery: Find out what the minimum spend is and if you're a couple of pounds away from it, add something cheap to round it up i.e. wrapping paper. Amazon's SuperSaverDelivery tool actually gives you options on what to buy to round up your spend.
Should I wait until the Christmas sales?

"Here's the thing, if you all go out and purchase a lot this year and sales are up, the above dates will probably change," Martin explained.
"If you spend less, stores are in trouble and they will likely bring their sales much earlier because they need it to happen.
"Basically, the earlier you shop, the lower the discounts will be - so it's in your hands.
"We're expecting H&M, Ikea, Topshop, Topman and ASOS to launch their January sales on December 17."
And for those doing their festive food shop, Martin added to watch out for the week commencing December 17, when Aldi, Tesco and Asda are expected to launch their 15-19p a bag sale on seasonal produce.
