Martin Lewis reveals the cheapest time to book flights for your summer holiday in 2020

Martin Lewis has revealed the best time of year to book flights if you fancy jetting off for summer 2020, and if you're the impatient type you're in luck, as that day is today.

Revealing all on his ITV show, Martin explained: "On Thursday (September 19) easyJet will release all of their flights for April to August next year.

"I am not sure what time it will be, because they move it around each year, it could be 5am, it could be later.

"Buying the moment they are released means super cheap holidays for next summer."

After a quick scour on easyJet's website we can confirm that the sale has now started, and there are some great bargains to be had.

Some of the best deals from Manchester Airport in summer 2020 include one-way flights to Bordeaux, Copenhagen, Amsterdam and Milan for £28.99, and one-way flights to Prague, Berlin, Pisa for £29.99.

You can also explore the lavender fields of Provence for £31.99 one-way, or feast on Italian treats in Sardinia for £31.99 one-way.

In a statement about the sale, easyJet wrote on its website: "All our flights up to 30th August 2020 are now available to book.

"We’ll be releasing our flights for September and October 2020 in November 2019."

However, if you want to bag yourself the best deal you'll have to be quick, as seats are selling out fast and prices are changing as a result of that.

“Easyjet operates a fluid pricing model where prices move based on demand for any particular flight," Martin explained.

"So when they’re usually launched they’re priced cheaply and can quickly change depending on how many are being booked. So if you can pounce when they’re launched, you’re often getting the very cheapest deal.

"It releases tickets several times a year and I always tell you about them.

"Today (Thursday) tickets go on sale via the easyJet website for travel from 29 March – 30 August 2020, so it covers Easter and next year’s summer hols.

"There is no exact release time – in the past, different seats are put on sale at different points throughout the day, so keep checking – and prices can and do change rapidly."

He finished by saying: "It's a question of repeated trial and error to see if it looks good. Yet easyJet have said that all the seats will be released at usually around 6am, so assuming that’s a goer – go quick."
