Martin Lewis reveals millions are missing out on money they are entitled to

Money expert Martin Lewis says millions of people are missing out on state money they are entitled to.

On his ITV show The Martin Lewis Money Show Live this week's 'Big Briefing' was all about how people are missing out on cash they are entitled to.

He said: "If you've got family income of £30,000 or under its worth checking if you are entitled to anything on a benefits calculator."

He added that he's not guaranteeing that if you earn less than £30,000 as a household you will be entitled to anything extra but he urged people to check.

His tips included:

1.2million state pensioners are missing out on pension credit - it could be worth more than £1,000 a year.

National insurance credits can be worth £10,000 to your state pension but you can gain from places other than work

- Adult child care credits 

- Carers credits

- No child benefit if a parent earning £60,000+ but always apply - non-working parent apply 'to not it' as it triggers NI credits
