Martin Lewis reveals how shoppers can get up to 70 per cent off at Boots as sale kicks off

The money saving guru Martin Lewis has revealed how shoppers can save more then a few pennies at Boots.

Speaking to Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard on Good Morning Britain, he announced that Boots is launching its clearance sale with 70 per cent off items.

Wales Online reports that the health and beauty chain has now finally confirmed that it will indeed be kicking off tomorrow (Friday Jan 31).

After tightening the pursestrings over January, there couldn't be a better time and last year's sale saw huge queues across the country as customers raced for bargain products.

Boots are already offering 50 per cent off on some products but prices are set to be slashed further across selected skincare, makeup, electrical and fragrances.

Speaking about the sale on the Money Saving Expert website, Martin Lewis said:  “We’re in dregs of the sale, and usually at this time of year shops up their sale discount to get rid of last seasons failing stock.

“And tomorrow Boots have confirmed it’s boosting its current ‘up-to 50 percent off’ sale to up-to 70 percent off in-store only on selected skincare, make-up, electrical and fragrances.”

"If items are still in stock tomorrow, you could get a decent discount, for example, you could get a Ted Baker Ultimate Harmony set for £13.50 (currently £20.25 in 'up to 50 percent off sale').

"Normally £45 and Soap & Glory Sweet Tin-Tations set for £18 (currently £27 in 'up to 50 percent off sale'), normally £60.”

Some of the best deals to grab in the sale

  • No7 Silver Illuminated Makeup Mirror (silver) was £49.99 now £19.99

But Money Saving Expert is warning keen shoppers that the sale is only in stores.

He added: “There are no guarantees, it’s a case of ‘can you find them’.”
