If you've ever found yourself abandoning your online shop after seeing how much your basket is worth, then this one's for you.
A money saving expert has recently shared an interesting hack that could help you continue with your shopping all while getting a discount.
In the recent Money Saving Expert newsletter, Jenny Keefe, explains that online shoppers could save up to a whopping 50% by simply abandoning their shop.
Jenny writes: "Fail to finish your online order and companies often send you codes to tempt you back. There are no guarantees, and some are getting wise to it, but if you’re not in a hurry, why not try?"
It turns out that a few retailers will entice their customers back by sometimes sending out voucher codes to get them to come back and make a sale.
The savvy hack involves signing in or signing up for an account with your chosen retailer, filling your basket with wanted items, leaving the site and then double checking if the same retailer has sent you a voucher code to entice you back.
Of course, not all retailers have been known to send out voucher codes and it can be a bit of a lucky dip, but there have been a few successes.
A few lucky shoppers tweeted Martin Lewis, the founder of Money Saving Expert, with their own success stories on using this simple shopping hack.
One user known as Charlie tweeted: "Was browsing Asos's wedding dresses yesterday and added one to my basket, then left the site for the night. This morning I had a nice surprise email from Asos offering 20% off, as they'd noticed me window shopping. Got £37 off my wedding dress!"
Another tweeted: " @MartinSLewis Had stuff in H&M basket – didn’t buy, was sent 20% off. Saved over £8."
