Martin Lewis issues urgent three-point warning about Black Friday

Money-saving guru Martin Lewis has issued a warning to people about Black Friday sales.

The founder of Money Saving Exert appeared on Good Morning Britain to talk about how viewers can keep safe on the busiest shopping day of the year, reports Birmingham Live.

Speaking to Susanna Reid and Ben Shephard, who were presenting the show, Martin said: "So here is my mantra.

"Ask yourself, 'do I need it?', 'is it worth it?' and 'have I checked if I can get it cheaper elsewhere?'

"If the answer to any of them is 'no', don't buy it."

Martin is a regular guest on daytime TV, and has also appeared on This Morning and Lorraine.

This year Black Friday falls on November 29 and Cyber Monday is on December 2.

Amazon has already started its Black Friday sales, which will end on November 29.

There will be Deals of the Day, and Best Deals which will last for two weeks.

Shoppers can expect to find deals on Amazon devices, toys, fashion and gaming.
