Martin Lewis has urged energy customers to apply for the Warm Home Discount scheme before it closes.
The finance guru issued the advice on the latest edition of ITV's Money Show Live.
The consumer champion explained how people can save money on their energy bills amid soaring prices.

He said: “Are you a customer of Bulb, E.on or So Energy? Their Warm Home Discounts are still open - that’s £140 towards people on low income.
“If you’re on guaranteed Pension Credit you get it automatically and you don't need to apply, but the broader group must apply.”
The government-ran Warm Home Discount Scheme is a one off discount on your electricity bill between October and March.
Martin said eligibility varies by firm, but it generally applies to people on means-tested benefits including Jobseeker’s Allowance, Universal Credit and Income Support.
The government website said energy customers still qualify for the discount if you use a pre-pay or pay-as-you-go electricity meter.
Your electricity supplier can tell you how you’ll get the discount if you’re eligible, for example a voucher you can use to top up your meter.
How to apply
If you are on a low income, you may be able to apply directly to your electricity supplier for help if you do not get the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit.
The official government advice said: "The number of discounts suppliers can give is limited so advise energy customers to check with their supplier as early as possible to see if you’re eligible and how to apply.
"Check with them even if you were eligible for a discount last year.
"Your electricity supplier will apply the discount to your bill by 31 March 2022.
To get the discount you’ll need to stay with your supplier until it’s paid."
Martin Lewis' Money Show Live airs on Thursday at 8.30pm on ITV and ITV Hub.
